I cut my own hair from time to time (as well as my sons). This clipper is small, waterproof, and has a plastic cutting blade. I tried to get it to cut my hand and it wouldn't. I trimmed my son's hair with it and he was much less intimidated by this than my large clippers. This will be a VERY useful tool for me for as long as works!

This is the trimmer I use for designs and fades. The teeth are sharp and I get great maneuvering with the head.
I like the open head design of the trimmer. It looks like there's nothing holding it together, but in fact it is very sturdy. It makes cleaning much easier because there is I can brush out a lot more of the hair.
The textured pipe barrel is easy to grip and I can hold it like a pencil so I can get smoother curves and precision.
This trimmer is made for doing that kind of work. You literally can carve anything with the edge. I may try to find a replacement blade that is not as wide though.
Simple power button on the bottom so that it doesn't get in the way of work and rechargeable with the usb-c cable.
Overall, I like the way this trimmer feels in my hand and has not given me any issues.
